A Flight Review is an assessment having a series of tasks, exercises and manoeuvres performed by a candidate for the purpose of determining if that person meets the minimum skill requirements for the issuance of of an Advanced RPAS Pilot Licence.

Bring your exam results, Pilot Certificate, Drone Registration and a valid:

Government Issued ID, address matches the Pilot Certificate; OR

Citizenship or Residency.

Note: Foreign pilots need to apply for their SFOC-RPAS before their flight review (this may take up to 30 working days).

Here are some recommendations to help you prepare and pass your flight review on the first attempt.

Bring and utilize the documents required to complete your operation in accordance with applicable Transport Canada governing RPAS publications:

Knowledge Requirements for Pilots of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems 250 g up to and including 25 kg, Operating within Visual Line-of-Sight (VLOS) – TP 15263

Flight Reviewer’s Guide (TP15395)

Canadian Aviation Regulations – Part 9

Bring all equipment required to safely complete your operation.

The Flight Review is not designed to fail you.  It is in place to ensure you are a safe and effective Advanced Drone Pilot.  Additionally, it is a solid set of requirements that must be met in order to fly your Advanced Missions safely and effectively.  Follow your checklist for every step; use the right resources (ie: VO, Equipment and Records); apply your flying skills and you will do just fine.
